Conflicts Disclosure - Forms CIQ/CIS
Effective January 1, 2006, the Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (CIQ) form requires disclosure of certain business and gift giving relationships, if any, that individuals or businesses may have with local government officials as defined in Chapter 176.001(1-a) of the Local Government Code. This form must be filed with the City Secretary not later than the 7th business day after the date that the person becomes aware of the facts that require the statement to be filed. See Chapter 176, Local Government Code for details. A person commits an offense if the person knowingly violates Section 176.006, Local Government Code. An offense under this section is a Class C Misdemeanor.
Effective January 1, 2006, Chapter 176 of the Local Government Code requires a Conflicts Disclosure Statement (CIS) to be filed with the City Secretary when a local government officer becomes aware of facts that require the officer to file this statement as defined in Chapter 176, Local Government Code (see link above). A local government officer commits an offense if the officer knowingly violates Section 176.003, Local Government Code. An offense under this section is a Class C Misdemeanor.
